Bulgaria Mission Trip Requests and Planning

As part of their American Baptist ministry in Sofia, Tom and Terry work with visiting missions teams to coordinate and facilitate work projects with the Sofia Baptist Church and other churches outside Sofia, orphanages, and child-care centers in Bulgarian. To avoid overlapping of visiting missions teams, it is essential that any church group thinking about a Bulgaria mission trip involving Tom and Terry work with them to arrange a schedule and the work project(s).

Initial Steps to Request Tom/Terry Myers Support for Bulgaria Mission Trip

If your church is thinking about a mission trip to Bulgaria, first check that Tom and Terry will be in Bulgaria and available for your mission trip's support by viewing Tom/Terry's On-Line Calendar for the trip dates you're thinking about. If Tom and Terry's calendar shows no conflict with your dates, then perform the following steps --

1. When viewing the on-line Tom/Terry's On-Line Calendar webpage, click on the "Add Event" button at the bottom to request a range of dates you'd like to set up for a Bulgaria mission trip.
2. In the "Add Event" window that pops up, enter in the "Title" field something like "Bulgaria mission trip support-request for <name of your church> in <city> <state>", along with text in the "Description" field that includes --

• Contact information (phone, email, and/or Skype username) for you and your church pastor(s)
• Your church's denominational affiliation (if any()
• How many and ages of those are expected to be in your Bulgaria mission group
• (If you don't already have a Bulgaria mission trip work-project or activity) A description of the type of mission project and/or activities you'd like to do during your Bulgaria visit.

When you click on the "Save" button in the "Add Event" window, an email message will automatically be sent to Tom and Terry for their review of your Bulgaria mission trip request. (NOTE: The dates associated with your trip request are automatically included in this email message.) If Tom and Terry can support the request, they will then make your requested Bulgaria mission trip dates "public" on the Tom/Terry's On-Line Calendar so others can see them. Tom and Terry will also email you a message to take the next step in planning your trip..

The work-projects done during their visit included installing new flooring at an orphanage in Pleven, and preparing the ground for a new concrete walk-way at a child-care facility in Dobrich.
